General Store Counter Display Vintage Country Store Counter Kitchen Island Vintage Kitchen Island Vintage Bar Repurpose Wood Table Oak. We just picked up this incredible general store counter display. This was used in Vermont in a general store. We cleaned it up a bit – removed the old shellac and gave it a quick sanding and rubbed it with danish oil. This is probably one of the nicest and most unique pieces we’ve picked up in the past couple of years. This would be great for anyone who might be opening up a store, bakery, etc. Who wants the look and feel of a vintage country store. This would also make an incredible kitchen island. Maybe even a vintage bar for your country home. The counter is 60″ long and about 35″ tall. The counter is 23 1/2 wide. There are two shelves on the back side that were used to hold supplies and bags under the register. The front side is all solid oak. The top is in decent shape – there is some one piece of wood on the top that isn’t as tight on one end. All in all a great country store display and in good shape for being over 100 years old.
