You’re looking at a vintage fiberglass Rudolph the red nose reindeer. I acquired this from a gentleman who got it from somebody who claimed this came out of Santas Village California. Santas village was actually one of Californias first theme amusement parks. It actually opened a month before Disneyland. The gentleman also told him this was a piece from the 1960s. I bought this piece in the city of San Bernardino which is only minutes away from the original Santas Village. Now just by looking at him u can tell he looks just like the Rudolph from the 1964 cartoon. That also gives me another clue that will lead me to believe that there is some merit to the story. I cannot completely confirm the story but what I do know is that this is a very beautiful piece. It is made out of heavy fiberglass. It weighs roughly about 32 pounds. Looks like it was used for commercial use. It is also very large. As you can see from the photos it pretty much covers up my whole chimney. My chimney is your average size chimney. The actual dimensions for Rudolph are 4 feet tall, 3 feet long at the longest point and roughly 14 inches wide at his widest point. This is a very beautiful piece you’ll be the envy of all. You can’t find anything like this anymore this is truly a vintage treasure piece. There’s no markings on it whatsoever or anything of that nature. As you can see from the photos there are some condition issues. Mainly some of the paint is starting to crack and he looks like he has some damage near his right ear. With that being said I’m sure somebody can touch this up and make him look beautiful more than he already does. I live in Southern California. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Don’t miss out on opportunity to own a beautiful piece and maybe even a piece of California’s history. Below you will find a link to a YouTube video so you can look it over also.
