Vtg Sweetheart Soap Baby Doll Store Display Mechanical Advertising Doll 1940s
Very good vintage condition with moderate signs of wear from time. Tested working mechanical components. The dolls arms, legs, and head move freely and smoothly. The left arm does make contact with the left leg, and because of this there are marks present where the two parts meet. The dolls pelvic area does have some damage, and it appears that the previous owner attempted to repair. The repair could use some improvements, as the lower area can be separated from torso area. Power cord is approximately 28 feet long. Plug end is intact and works, but is a bit loose. Cosmetic condition: Very good cosmetic condition with wear consistent with normal use and age. The doll has some light surface cosmetic wear present, including discoloration to surface and clothing. There are a few small scuff marks worth pointing out that are visible in the following areas: right knee, left foot (from making contact with the basket), right cheek and ear, and a small area with paint loss on top of the head. Everything in photos is included, even two extra pairs of knit booties (3 pairs total), a small hankie with some staining, two sweetheart soap boxes with real soap (2 small soaps, and 1 large soap), and a rare “SweetHeart Songs The Great Love Songs dearest to heart” booklet in excellent condition published in 1938. Ends on Sunday evening 10/14/18. The item “Vtg Sweetheart Soap Baby Doll Store Display Mechanical Advertising Doll 1940s” is in sale since Sunday, October 21, 2018. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Advertising\Merchandise & Memorabilia\Store Displays”. The seller is “jessi_spitz” and is located in Grove, Oklahoma.
