Very rare set of vintage risqué girlie pin up swimsuit girl knives on countertop display ad card. Display measures approx 8″ x 8″; knives measure 2 1/2″ closed w/ blade approx 1 1/2″. Each knife has two unique images of women printed blue on white, front and back. All of the knives are original to the display. Very good overall condition. The knives have not been used but a couple show a scuff or a very small dotting of rust on the blade. The paper display card is in fair condition; the top section where the knives are hung has detached from the lower portion of the the card, though it still looks excellent, uniformly toned w/ no material loss, and has held together just fine sleeved and backed with a very thick piece of whiteboard cut to size. This is an EXTREMELY rare find – original store display cards are always difficult to come by, but in this case the knives themselves are just as (if not more) scarce. Everything from the classic mid century package design, to the two-color printing, to the obvious draw of the subject matter make this an immensely appealing presentation piece that would be at home in many collections… From pocket knives to pin ups, vintage advertising to fun 1950s kitsch.
