Vintage TIMEX Watch Glass Display Retail Case 1950s LOCAL PICKUP BOONTON NJ ONLY

Note that John Cameron Swayze did the early “Timex torture tests” as early as 1958 on television featuring the “V-Conic Movement”, which is a part of the advertising on this display. Also, notice the mention of “As Advertised in: LIFE, The Saturday Evening Post, TIME”. It is currently in the attic so a bit dusty but still looks like it is good condition considering the age, with some wear to the wood on the top. I thought that was a hole in the top possibly for a light but just a piece of dirt. Please refer to the photos. The front glass is thick and removable. It has 2 shelves and is very heavy. Please see pictures for the full description and measurements and message me with any questions or offers. This set is at my friend’s home so not in front of me to respond right away but I will within 24 hours. I have done my best to measure this. 23 1/2″ wide x 6 1/2″ top depth x 14 1/2″ bottom depth (gets wider at base), about 20″ high. I do not grade antiques, comics, toys, autographs or such collectibles. I really don’t even know how all that grading works. Antique 1894 JR Palmenberg Store Clothing Rack 90 Vintage Display pickup 17032

Palmenberg’s Sons New York – Patent March 27, 1894. I bought this from a local family that had a clothing store many years ago. It is very tall, measures about 90 high with finial. 1 center steel tube. Original finial is nickel plated brass and has wear and a slight bend. Base is solid heavy cast iron with a nickel plated brass cover, nickel is worn. Rack has 4 J. Palmenberg adjustable hangers that measure 18 long from center to end. They are 1/4 thick nickel plated brass. Each hanger has a unique ratchet mechanism for lowering and raising, they can be locked in position at different angles. By pressing a thumb latch it unlocks the teeth and lowers rack arm Mechanisms still work. 1 hanger has a crack but is still very solid, strong and able to be used with no problems(see last photo). The pole can be shortened without a problem. Racks can be moved up, down and sideways. They also can be removed by a hinged center mount and thumb screw. Rack mechanisms have wear, tarnish and a little play in pivot joints. Any questions just ask.
