Cool old Post Office right out of a general store. I believe near Erie Pennsylvania. I have had it on display in my house for many years now. When the window is shut there is a Closed sign painted on it. Brass letter slot below for after hours mailing. Glass panel front with numbered boxes. Some of the glass is replacement but done long ago and has numbers. The post office boxes, or pigeon holes, on the back are in great shape. Many still have the tags for the box owners name and some still have names. Cost would be based on your location. Two able bodied people can carry it but a third for balance would be nice. Due to a shoulder injury I can only be the third person; I can not help lift and carry this. Measuring about 54 inches wide by 42 inches tall by 10 inches deep. Vintage 1940’s Country Store Counter Top Atlas Wire Post Card Display Rack. The Display Rack Rotates. There are Six (6) Rows of Display Slots with Eight (8) Holders in each Row holding 48 Card Lots. There is a Sign Holder on Top for Advertising Contents of Display Rack. The Label on the Top of the Display Rack is marked: ATLAS WIRE PRODUCTS CO. Very nice post card display! Holds lots of post cards! Never offered for sale before… Used on our store counter for years!! There is a normal amount of wear to the metal due to use. The display rack needs to be cleaned, if desired. Approximate Measurements: 26″ without sign holder x 14″ including holders. Condition: Used condition with wear consistent with age & use. This is a great opportunity to own a sign of Post Toasties. The age is approximately 1920s or 30s and could be earlier. The sign is of individual letters on a very long blue string too be hung over a display of the cereal Post Toasties. The length of the sign could vary, depending on the distance apart the letters were strung. It is the way I found it and a couple of the letters are hung in reverse. The string is in good condition. There are some creases in several letters. The letters are on top of a mock cereal box and the length of each letter varies. The largest is approximately 9 inches with the box and they are all 3 3/4 inches wide. See photos above for detailed images. This is a very rare piece and would be extremely difficult to find among ephemera collections. Thank you for reading the entire description.
