We have for your consideration, a unique SALESMAN’S SAMPLE CASE containing a beautiful miniature pressure-treated pine wood deck, as typically seen attached to a suburban home. The deck is nestled in a large and heavy duty leatherette case with triple latches and handle on the top. Also included with the mini deck is a custom-fitted gray foam rubber insert made to fit inside the deck area. The insert contains a sample of a Simpson type joist hanger, a set of treated twisted deck nails for a power nailer, examples of attaching hardware for connecting the deck to the home, as well as examples of both pressure treated and standard pine boards. Lifting the deck assembly out reveals a selection of different short pieces of lumber showing the various types of solid joints used to build the sturdy deck framing system. IF YOU HAVE A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY THAT SPECIALIZES IN CREATING DECKS. This allows homeowners to actually touch a deck surface and see exactly what a typical deck looks like today, something that no video or print advertisement can do. The squares of deck surface boards can also be quickly removed to show the underlying construction system as well, and the squares can be rotated 90 degrees to show what it looks like with the boards running across the deck, or they can be set up in a checkerboard style [see photos]. We estimate there are between 400 and 500 pieces of wood used to build this sample deck, and it’s in beautiful condition, not missing a single piece!
