Vintage 1960s Penny Brite Store Display Carousel with Seven Dolls for Topper Toys by Deluxe Reading Corp. A rare, hard to find display set. The carousel is 18 in diameter and 14 tall. It has seven 8 dolls dressed as the original Penny Brite in red dress, in Anchors Aweigh sailor outfit, in Sun and Fun outfit, in Winter Princess outfit, in Flower Girl outfit, in Singing in the Rain outfit but umbrella is missing, and in Chit Chat outfit. Each Doll is in its own individual compartment with different backgrounds. The dolls and clothing are in fairly good condition, but need to be cleaned. The carousel itself is in fair condition. The top is not complete (see photo) and it is missing the plastic that once wrapped around the doll compartments. It has dings and wear. It does rotate when set on a level surface and plugged in.
