Santa in Sleigh with Reindeer Vintage Department Store Christmas Display Figures

See detailed item description and all 24 photos. Additional photos below item description. Vintage Department Store Display Set. This charming old Santa and reindeer set was once a store display in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The estate we acquired it from claims it is from either the late 1940s or early 1950s, but, unfortunately, they did not know which store. The sleigh and Santa figure measures 36″ length and 30″ height. Likewise, each reindeer figure measures 36″ length and 30″ height. These display figures made of a paper mache / composition type material for indoor use only. As evidenced by the photos, the paint is badly chipped and missing in several places. The paint flakes off easily, too. The antlers and ears on the reindeer have various degrees of damage with some attempted repairs by a previous owner. The sleigh runners have been broken and repaired with red tape. The dowel rods are loose and can be removed from the underside of three reindeer (one reindeer has its dowel rod still attached). Please inspect photos for condition and e. Nlarge images for better detail. We live near Troy, NC, which is approximately1.5 hours from Charlotte and 2 hours from Raleigh. Santa Claus with Treasure Chest Animated Vintage Christmas Store Display WORKS! Beautiful estate sale find working vintage store display circa 1950s. Santa stands behind a glitter covered treasure chest and when plugged in Santa leans back while opening the chest and then gently closes the chest. The display is in very good vintage condition showing little wear for its age. Santa has a fluffy beard and the paint on his face is still vivid and bright. The interior of the chest in lined in red velvet that is in amazing condition showing just one stray mark. Very unusual to find the chest with the velvet lined interior tray intact. Measurements: 25 ” tall x 18 ” across x 16 depth It is rare to find a working Santa Treasure Chest store display in this condition. This is a weighty oversized display that will require extra packing materials. Harold gale 36 inch store display Im Told by the previous owner it was at Sak’s 5th ave santa claus he is not animated w his cardboard putz type base it adds another 10 inches so approx 46.5 total height his white trim has yellowed some flecking of paint on his face still really neat!
