Consists of three pieces (38″ x 12.5″ x 12.5″ base, 23.5″ x 31″ middle piece, 31″ x 41 top piece). It had been believed that this was a “Hey Jude” LP display, but our research indicates it’s likely for the White Album. The base has a few creases and some bald edges and corners. The middle piece has edge creases, most notably at the top of Paul’s & John’s heads. The top piece has creasing on left and right edges and through the “N” of New. BEATLES Beatles’ Story Vintage Original 1964 Record Store Display RARE. Beatles – Beatles’ Story Display. 1964 display for the “Beatles’ Story” album. Features 29″ x 34″ top piece, which has the Beatles dressed in Santa outfits, and a 16.5″ x 20″ x 37.5 five-tiered base. Each tier would have been designed to hold the first four Capitol Records Beatles releases, ending with “Beatles’ Story, ” then “Beatles’65” would have been added in mid-December 1964. The base is generic and would have been used with different custom top pieces to display other Capitol artists (there’s a great Beach Boys one). It originally included an assembly instructions sheet, but this is missing. This appears to never have been used. Other than some yellowing on the base and a couple tears on the back of the top piece (not affecting front artwork) where it was previously attached to a backing board, this is in amazing condition.
