A vintage Buster Brown & Tige store display statue, dated 1972, accompanied by an Authorized Buster Brown Dealer display sign. These pieces were displayed for many years in my grandparents’ family-owned shoe store and have remained together ever since. Standing approximately 18 inches tall, the statue features the iconic Buster Brown character alongside his faithful dog, Tige, with vibrant hand-painted details that make it an eye-catching display. Included is the original Authorized Buster Brown Dealer sign measuring approximately 14″ x 14″, creating a wonderful pair for collectors of advertising memorabilia, shoe store displays, or Buster Brown collectibles. Description: Wonderful vintage Buster Brown child store display mannequin with original-style Buster Brown display pedestal, tagged toddler clothing, and red canvas shoes. This charming retail display stands approximately 36 inches tall with the pedestal and features a child-size mannequin dressed in vintage Buster Brown clothing. The outfit includes red overalls, a colorful Buster Brown print long-sleeve shirt, and red toddler canvas shoes. The clothing retains original Buster Brown hang tags marked 24 mos. Along with vintage retail price stickers from Ken’s Clothing, Midway Plaza, Whitney Point, N. The white display pedestal features the classic Buster Brown character and his dog, Tige, giving the piece a great old store-window or children’s department display look. This appears to be a mixed-era display ensemble: the mannequin and display base appear likely circa 1960s, while the tagged clothing appears likely circa 1970s. This is the 1950’s Buster Brown Shoe Display mannequin. He is made of a very heavy composition/ plaster material, NOT the newer plastic model. This one has Buster holding a bone ready to throw for his dog. This display was used as an advertising store mannequin to display Buster Brown clothes. This set includes the rare original base and dog, Tige. These three pieces are not attached but can be with bolts. The dog is made of heave rubber plastic. The set is ORIGINAL except his outfit, which is a replacement. The following are the measurements. Boy 25 Condition Issues: Some crazing. Flacking on lower chin area. Dog 6 Condition: Good condition. Used in excellent condition. Easel Stand never folded out. Surface of sign is glossy without scratches or pealing. Very few signs of any use or age. Look at all photos. Measurements: The item measures approximately 25 tall. Condition: The item is in fair to good condition. Blue eyed and blond haired boy form. The form has stress cracks and paint discolored. Clothing is a bit dirty from age, but intact and in good shape. Wearing a one piece belted zip-up sailor style suit with socks, no shoes. Left foot is missing bolt to secure to base, no base.
