Vintage Irish tea tin with a beautiful red and gold face. Extra large general store piece that would have been placed on the counter in a shop. The front is painted with a tea pot, a tea cup and some flowers. On the drawer is a painting of a lake with trees and in between that it says Irish Tea in black letters. The front was predominantly red, black and gold. The sides, back and top are black. On the right side someone has etched the date 1806. Not sure how relevant that is. There are also some letters on the top which are hard to read. Overall it is in good condition for its age. The top comes off and the drawer works perfectly. Looks like there maybe some tea still in the bottom. Obviously because it is old the paint has peeled off or faded in many areas and there are scratches and it has a few small dents on the top. It really is a wonderful piece and would look great in country style home, shop or restaurant. What a great piece of forgotten history. Sadly, they dont make them like that anymore. It measures: 19 L x 18W x 23.75H. If YOU are not satisfied, please let us know so we can make it right!
