This is an exceptional and rare piece of advertising history: an unused vintage Poll Parrot Shoes store display sign from the 1940s. This unique piece features a honeycomb bottom made of expandable tissue paper. To the best of my knowledge, this display has never been opened or used. I found it wrapped about 40 years ago and have kept it safely stored in its original cello wrapping. Please note: The display appears to have some staining while still in its wrapping. This listing is for a solid oak wood drawer. The Standard Paper Company out of Milwaukee, WI gave these to print shops to store their paper samples in. This box is strong and sturdy oak wood. It has finger joints and a metal pull that isn’t loose at all. The drawer opens and closes smoothly. There are metal feet on the bottom that are well secured and even. The box doesn’t rock/shift at all. There are a few paint splotches (see photos). Let me know if you have any questions or want more photos. I’m not firm on the price!

This is a neat old heavy wood Kodak paper box. Someone painted it red but also stripped one drawer. Not perfect but really cool. Some separation in wood but I believe that is where the wood is sectioned. This is very heavy. It is about 10.5″ tall, 13″ wide, and 12 deep including drawer face.

Vintage Parrot Store Display sign with Honeycomb bottom. To my knowledge never used, looks stained. I found it wrapped, and I left in in the cello I picked it up in, about 40 years ago. Never displayed it, just tucked it away. I do not know the condition of this item once you unwrap it, as I have never opened it, but I would gently suggest being careful or leaving as I have in the wrapping to display. MIDDLE HAS SOME DENTING AND CRACKING TO THE PAPER MACHE FROM WHERE YOU WOULD SIT A BOWL WITH THE DOG FOOD FOR ADVERTISING. VERY NEAT PIECE AND AMAZING THAT IT STILL SURVIVED ALL THESE YEARS!
