Vintage Boye Rotary Case for Sewing Machine Supplies patented in the early 1900s. Includes one original shuttle with 3 needles and 3 clip on price tags. The top of the case features a list of sewing machines around the edge with numbers, and illustrations of several types of needles. Turning the arrow to the appropriate number for your machine rotates the tray inside to the correct needles which are accessible under the shutter door. This display case is in good condition with great graphics and colors with wear from use. There are some dents, scratches, discoloration and other wear as shown in the pictures. The inside tray rotates freely. Measures approximately 16″ diameter x 3 1/2″ tall. A Boye instruction manual described how this unique dispenser works: To illustrate: If your customer wants a needle for the Climax machine, opposite the machine name, in the column headed’Needles,’ is a No. 4 printed in blue. Find this number in red on the inner dial, turn the indicator until it points to that number, open the shutter, and tubes of needles of that number will appear at the hand opening. Vintage The Boye Needle Co. Cabinet, Store display, Needle and Shuttles Case – PreOwned. 1900s store display, general store, antique tin, wood cabinet. Approx Size Lower Wood box: 17-7/8″ x 18 3/8″ X 5-1/2 H. Top Metal Holder for the Needle and Shuttles: 15-3/4″ Dia x 3-1/2″. This is full of the original needles and shuttles wood cases along with other original items (see pictures). The tin needle case on top of the wood cabinet is has a large qty of of original needles & shuttles in wood compartments (see pictures). The bottom wood stand has compartments and a drawer which has additional original items. This is a very rare find to find the tin filled of the original items. This item(s) show some use / wear / tear, possible damage. Please examine the photos and judge for condition and request additional photos if needed. This vintage case measures approximately 16 in diameter and 3.25 deep. I did a light cleaning on the top and the discolorations didnt budge. I used warm water and gentle soap but it may clean better with different materials. How this works if very neat. You point the arrow to what you need and then open the door and it should be there for you. Im not sure if things have been rearranged or if they are still coded to what the arrow says.
