Vintage Dinky Toys Factory Cardboard Store Display Plinth “Speedwheels” c. The system is up to its old tricks again of obstructing UK die-cast enthusiasts. Lot is for one original, fully assembled, Dinky Toys retail store display, product #100602. Produced by Meccano Ltd. Of Liverpool, England circa 1970. This countertop or shelf plinth was designed to hold securely 5 to 7 Dinky Toy model vehicles. Apparently made from the same heavy card stock as Dinky boxes of that time. Comes with 8 plastic affixing clips as mentioned by dealer instructions shown in photo #8. No model vehicle or anything else is included in this lot. If toy models appear in a photo, it is solely for reference purposes. Display was obtained decades ago from a Southern California hobby shop. Lightly used for a time in a static display behind glass, then stored away in locked cabinet for many years. CONDITION: Fresh and crisp, with light wear or creasing in a few spots. Please see photos for more details, as they show exactly what you’ll receive. Approximate length: 30 inches. From a non-smoking and climate-controlled home. Combination with another lot may not be possible.
