This is a store display meant for counter top with strong advertising on the front, sides and back. Has four slide out drawers with glass fonts. Cabinet measures 16 x 14 x 9 inches. Antique Oak Spool Cabinet George A. Clark General Store Sewing Thread Display. Overall good condition for it’s age. Missing dividers in drawers for spool. Made of solid wood, the drawer bottoms appear to be one solid wide piece of wood! Top is loose on left side and will need glued. Missing small piece on lower front right corner (see pic). Looks like it was used in a shop or garage for storage at some point in it’s life. Original finish as far as I can tell. Signage on front is applied, not painted on and has a lot of scratches. Label on top reads As this cabinet is supplied at a very great expense it is respectfully requested that no spool cotton will be kept in it except Clark’s O. Vintage Antique Tiger Oak Spool Thread Sewing Storage Store Display Fixture Cabinet. We are proud to offer an extremely nice estate furniture. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. It is a perfect estate piece to gift or wonderful to start or add to your collection. Wonderful large American oak spool store cabinet. Not the typical small spool cabinet. This mostly likely came out of a larger mercantile store only found in a major city. There are 11 drawers on each side of the mirrored middle for 22 drawers total. Room for 858 spools in the drawers! Nice with the clear glass display front drawers and the mirror center storage for additional inventory. Great for storing and displaying small and special collectibles… Jewelry, coins, stamps, marbles, doll house furniture, etc. You imagination is the only limits to its storage and display uses. This is an original piece not a later reproduction. It dates from the 1890’s to the 1910s. The older restoration job does show some wear. The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. Vintage Coats & Clark Thread Spool Sewing Capitol Counter Store Display Cabinet

This is an original vintage metal Coats & Clark’s O. Boilfast Mercerized thread spool countertop display cabinet with sliding glass doors. The cabinet is marked Capitol Counter Display Co. (Brooklyn, NY) on the back. The cabinet is filled with many unused vintage Coats & Clark thread spools, but there are a few spools from other brands that were thrown in. Each row in the cabinet is labeled with a different thread color, and the spools are currently not displayed in the correct rows. The cabinet overall is in very good condition with typical surface wear from age and use. The sliding doors are a bit difficult to slide (there are no handles on them, you just have to push them by hand) but they do work and the cabinet is fully functional. There is some paint missing and the metal has acquired some areas of surface rust (visible in the photos). A couple of the thread compartments inside have some paint missing and flaking underneath the spools. There is some dirty, dusty residue inside, but overall, the interior looks very good. The cabinet has no obvious dents and nothing is broken or repaired. Hinged lid has red felt and would have originally had a leather top. Lid lifts to reveal a large compartment for storing inventory. 4 drawers for Thread and spools with stenciled design. Sewing thread box store drawers display walnut antique vintage original 1890. Antique sewing thread box. Original late 1800s early 1900s 2. Probably a store display but has no advertising 3. Sturdy and very nice condition, not perfect 4. Drawer locks intact, no key 6. Small round water spot on top, see photo, very light 8. Original finish, a little alligator like 9. Drawers work well 10. Bottom drawer key hole cover missing 11. Drawer bottoms are good, 12. Finished on all sides, not the bottom 13. Really nice antique cabinet in very nice condition 14.
