Fantastic honest OLD piece! Patented in1898 and it looks better than anything made today! 100% original including the dust… And the casters work flawlessly and smoothly as well as the rotating top. I have had 300 lbs. Of clothing on this and it didn’t flinch a bit. This 19th Century Ornate Cast Iron/Nickle Rounder Clothing Rack mad by Edward Leger & Son. Makers and importers of nickel and brass display stands. Papier Mache and Wax figures for clothing, furnishings, dry goods, shoes, cloaks, millinery. Chicago & NY offices. This would be perfect for a high end vintage store, million dollar home closet or Restaurant for coats. The rounder at the top is removable and turns easily loaded or empty. This is really a focal point conversation piece. High Relief in the casting of the Iron. This does fit through a conventional door. The topper is 30 inches in diameter. I had 2 of these the other went to Japan. (In the Style Of). Wear consistent with age and use original paint a foundry crack in the pole but cosmetic not functionally defective.
