This is one of the built-up kits issued directly by the Aurora model kit company to stores for promotional purposes. Aurora is best known for their highly popular Universal Monster kits from the 1960’s. Exceptionally detailed and highlighted by professionally painted accents, including highly detailed face. 1 of a Series John F. Kennedy, 35th President Of The United States Seated In Famous Rocking Chair. Kit Includes American Flag And Decal Of PT Boat Painting For Frame Above Fireplace. Complete assembled example w/fabric American flag. Flag pole has come loose but can be easily reglued. Shows slight ripple to PT Boat portrait and some scattered dust soiling, scuffs on wall, but still Excellent, and an exceptional display piece. According to Tom Graham in his book “Aurora Model Kits” The kit was released in response to an outpouring of letters from the public requesting a John F. When it was released Aurora announced a series of President model kits. The only other kit to be released was George Washington. This is not uncommon and pieces can be easily glued back together.
