VINTAGE DURO “SIGN MAKER” STORE DISPLAY METAL BOX GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION. This beautiful Duro “gold leaf” style decal store display advertising decals of different sizes. In looking through them, it appears that there are three sizes; 1″, 2″ and 3 that have Letters, Numbers & Symbols. Not every tab contains letters. They came from an old Mom & Pop Stationery Store in the 1940’s 50’s era. The box graphics say “CHICAGO, ILL”. The red metal box measures 17 x 14 x 6 inches. It weighs approximately 15 pounds. The red metal box top shows some wear appropriate for it’s age. Some scratches, paint wear and nicks. The inside lid size chart is in nice used condition. The graphics on the front and 2 sides of box are in very good condition with most letters intact. Back of box is blank. The display box has been safely stored for several decades and came from the Grandparents estate. The box contains decals for most of the alphabet, but notice that it is missing some. I did not take the time to sort through every tab and get an actual count. I did use some of the letters on an old glass railroad door a few years back. The decals worked out well after I followed the instructions on the jackets and soaked them well before applying. Overall, it is a nice vintage box containing some neat old decals of Letters, Numbers and Symbols.
