The yellow paper patch at top center above lights is where the missing lamp would have been mounted. If you found a matching Bakelite Lamp, it would be easily installed on display. I was told that this paperboard display had lots of waves in cardboard and that the previous owner glued a rigid cardboard backer to display to make it flat again.
