Vintage RCA Victor Nipper Dog, Plastic 3' Store Display, His Masters Voice

Here is a Neat Vintage 3′ tall Original Store Display RCA Nipper, His Masters Voice Dog. These are made of plastic and were given to RCA Dealers for display. This one displays nicely, but has to repaired cracks. One goes around most of a front leg where it goes into the body. It has some glue residue around the crack in that area. The other is near the collar area, and a chunk almost came loose, but has been glued back. I did the repair near the collar, a previous owner did the other repair. The repairs seem to be holding OK, but I do not know how long they will last? I think as long as it is for display only they may be OK. I don’t believe they would hold up with children playing with the piece. Be sure to read my condition section, and message me with any questions. THIS IS A RARE VINTAGE RCA VICTOR NIPPER DOG PLASTIC STORE DISPLAY. LOOKS GREAT ON DISPLAY! BOTH EARS HAVE BEEN GLUED ON, BUT HARD TO NOTICE. THERE IS A BROKEN OFF PIECE OF MISSING PLASTIC ON EAR, YOU CAN PATCH WITH PUTTY, SAND IT AND PAINT IF SO DESIRE. MOST OF THE PAINT HAS WORN OFF AND THERE IS SOME “CRACKLING” ON THE SURFACE FROM AGING. VINTAGE 1903 THE VICTOR SAFE & LOCK COMPANY SALESMAN SAMPLE SAFE WithPROVENANCE

For Your Purchasing Consideration: An Extremely “Rare” 1903 Salesman Sample Safe! Manufactured by The Victor Safe & Lock Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Fresh out of an upscale estate from the Northshore suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Measures 10 1/4″ inches in width by 12 1/2″ inches in length by 16 1/4 inches in height from the base of the wheels to the top of the safe. Has factory welded wheels for ease of movement. Has the original factory black paint which happens to be in very good original condition, as shown in the photographs. The only flaw is a tiny indentation on one side of the safe, confined to the lower side towards the bottom of the safe, barely noticeable. Has a solid brass combination dial. The condition is awesome, considering this safe is 117 years old. Fresh out of an estate of a woman who is in her seventies. This safe was formerly owned by her Great Grandparents and has been in the same family since new. She had absolutely “no” emotional attachment. This is a fine & prime example of a salesman sample safe for the era. We believe this is the ” Only ” one listed on the entire worldwide web at the time of this listing. An absolute once in a lifetime ” Golden ” opportunity to acquire such a rare. Salesman’s sample safe antique. Comes with the original Lock Instructions which were included in the original envelope when initially received, Dated March 31st 1903. Also included are hand written combinations presumably written by Great Grandma & Great Grandpa. Weighs in between 85 – 100 pounds. FOR SALE: Vintage 36″ Tall Paper Mache’ RCA VICTOR “Nipper Dog Store Display. This is a good, solid example with some of the usual repairs and cosmetic improvements. Someone along the line has re-enforced the inside some for added strength and done some touch-up repainting. It’s not perfect, but I would say that it is in better than average condition for a Paper Mache’ example. This one probably dates back to the 1930’s and was made by “OLD KING COLE”. I travel to the “Round Top” Antique Shows in Texas in the Spring and Fall only and also the Brimfield, Mass. Antique Shows that are Spring, Summer and Fall. I plan to travel to the Orlando, FL Jan. 8th – mid-Feb, but would have to know before leaving Illinois if I need to bring this along, otherwise it will remain back in Illinois. Vintage RCA Victor Victrola Nipper Dog Sculpture Store Display Glass Eye 14 Inch

Vintage RCA Victor Victrola Nipper the Dog Sculpture Store Display with Glass Eyes measuring approximately 14 Inches tall x 18 inches in length (from tail to nose) x 6 inches wide. The glass eyes are amber in color, and the collar is a light tan with gold buckle, name plate and trim. Nipper’s head is cocked as he listens to his masters voice coming from the Victrola player. In very good condition for age, please see photos and condition description. I don’t really know much about this dog. I have seen two others of the same size, and sculpture style that say it is paper mache’, but this looks like fiberglass. The other descriptions also say this model was produced in the 1920’s but since fiberglass wasn’t invented until the 1930’s I would date this from between 1930’s – 50’s. I have tried to find more information about this particular model without success. There is something small rattling around inside, probably a piece that came off during manufacturing, does not affect appearance or use. If anyone knows anything more about this piece I would appreciate any input. My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII. Many of the items have gone to family, but there are still many items that need a home, and they are listed here. There are also other items, long held family treasures that also need to find new homes, as we have no room in ours for them. Many of them have been passed on from generation to generation over 100’s of years. We hope they find a home with you.
