THIS IS A STEEL 4 DRAWER HARDWARE STORE TYPE OF GRUMBACHER DISPLAY. IT CAME FROM AN ESTATE WHICH THE FATHER HAD A HARDWARE STORE EARLY IN LIFE THAT WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE ITEMS HE STILL HAD. I WOULD GUESS THE VINTAGE OF THIS AS 1950’s OR 1960’s BUT THAT IS ONLY MY GUESS. I KNOW IT IS NOT ANY NEWER THAN THAT. THE 4 DRAWERS OPERATE GOOD. THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF EARLIER GRUMBACHER ADVERTISING. DIMENSIONS: 15″ X 15″ X 7 TALL. AND DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS. Amazing glass vitrine display unit. Beautiful patina metal frame. Condition: Good vintage condition all hinges and latches work well. Wooden base has some cracks, but still sturdy. This listing is for a pre-1961 Frito metal store display. This is a three shelf unit – it no longer has its legs. The shelves are removable and the top shelf unit slides off the bottom half. This appears to have had an original old gold/green shade of paint and was painted over white – remnants of Frito stickers remain. Frito is embossed in the metal on all four corners at the top. The overall dimensions 24.5″ x 12.75″ x 29 high. This would make an awesome kitchen or bath display. A very unique piece. I have not cleaned or attempted to remove rust from this piece since purchasing. CONDITION : Please review all photos and description. Comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
