Antique Wood Glass Mercantile Store Showcase Display Cabinet Haberdashery VTG

Vintage store display cabinet. Been in garage since about 1950. Likely early 1900s original construction. Bought from a clothing store that went out of business. This was a top end well constructed cabinet to display high end product back in the day. Was used to store odds and ends in the garage. Cabinet was not abused. Full glass sides, glass front and glass top (beveled glass). No cracks or damage to glass. Approximately 99.75″ long x 27.25″ deep x 45.5 tall. 8 drawers wide by 3 drawers high. Inside drawer measurements are 10″ wide x 23″ long x 10 tall. In pictures note that a bottle spilled on top and took off some varnish but did not damage the wood. All handles are in place. Doesn’t appear anything is missing. Heirs did not know that this was a glass cabinet until it was just uncovered. This cabinet was buried in the garage with the glass facing towards a wall and covered over with cardboard, plywood and cabinetry up against it. It appears that this was a shirt display cabinet in a local haberdashery. It looks like cabinet is all oak or at least hardwood of some sort. All drawers are intact and in good shape. Some of the wood drawers stick and are hard to fully close in the summer. This truly is a barn find. How many of these have survived? Item is located in central MA. I can assist with loading. Antique General Store Exhibition Show Case Oak Ribbon Cabinet Showcase Display

I have up for sale a lovely antique patent dated Nov 17 , 1889 Exhibition Show Case Co – Erie , PA & Guelph , Ontario Floor Model Oak Ribbon Cabinet / Display Case. The unit stands approx 47-1/4″ tall , approx 23″ x 25-5/8″ across the top, the main body is approx 18-1/2″ x 23-1/2″ , the base approx 22-1/4″ x 25-1/4. There are only 9 racks, 3 of the center double racks, and 6 of the smaller racks. The cabinet was made to hold more racks but this is what I have. The only issue that I see with this is that the racks are only supported by small nails and I would not trust them for something heavy. If you need more pics , just message me. The case is in really nice condition – the finish is in very good shape. No damage to any of the glass. Its real clean either way. There are a couple of stains on the inside bottom as shown in the pics. The doors open just as they should. Nothing to the West. Please message me for a quote. Antique Vtg Curved Glass Wood Display Case Shelves Store Showcase Cabinet

FABULOUS ANTIQUE CURVED GLASS DISPLAY CASE. Can be used floor or counter top. The Curved glass is old and beautiful with waves and some small bubbles. It is in excellent condition; no chips or cracks. The back of the case has a fully functional locking door with key. There is also a small cubby on the back at the bottom with. It displays beautifully and accommodates lots of items in an array of sizes. The Three tiered glass shelves are 1/4 thick, polished edges, no chips or dings. They are newer and custom made so they really show beautifully. As they rest on steel rods that slide into the wood frame. The Case is constructed of Wood and the bottom front, where it curves is a fiber board. There is one piece of plastic broken off that covers (part of) the glass edging on the right as you face the front (see photo). Additionally there are other cracks in the same plastic edging; none which affect the structure. The Rubber seals are all intact and there is no exposed glass. Depth: 15 overall including handle. 8 at the top curvedoes not include handle. Interior glass shelves measure as follows. Top shelf 5″ x 22 1/4″. Middle shelf 6 1/4″ x 22 1/4″. Appears to be from around the turn of the century. Normally, but not always, this would have gone inside a glass display case for items in a store. Entire piece measures about 29″ H x 25″ D x 33 W. Drawers measure about (interior only) 12″ L x 7″ W. Piece shows age, wear, tear, scratches, missing wood/stain, dents. Dings, can see nails, gap in top of piece, nails not all the way in. Chunks of wood gone, different colors, fading, metal pieces rusted/discolored, missing metal pieces, missing screws/nails, and so forth. It is over 100 years old so it will’not’ be mint! Drawers are all present. Some drawers do not fit properly/close due to warping (see them sticking out back in pics). Some drawers are missing brass square plate & back of drawers have paper present. This is for what is pictured only – there is no glass case or other items seen in background or on piece included. This item is heavy. Bring help, proper vehicle, and packing material. This is a Very Nice Vintage Table Top Display Cabinet Case. Constructed of a Solid wood Walnut frame. Detailed 1/4 round “shoe” molding on top. There is one Shelf and two sliding glass doors that move readily in two track metal guides top and bottom. All glass appears to be original but not sure on interior shelf and doors. Bottom board is a pressed wood partially painted. Very good antique condition being structurally sound with age appropriate signs of normal use as pictured. Detail cleaned and the wood conditioned. There are some scratches on the top glass from use. Interior Shelf has two small chipped corners. Estimate age Early 20th Century. Items in case are not included but for display only. Size: 24-1/4″w x 19″h x 12d. Interior top Shelf: 23″w x 10″d. Interior Bottom Shelf: 23-1/4″w x 11″d. Bottom shelf to top shelf: 10. Top Shelf to top glass: 7-1/2.
