Vintage Resistol-branded steel mercantile display rack, 1970s. It features a steel cowboy hat with a brass “RESISTOL best all around” plaque on a stand with a rope-edged base. Material: Steel hat with brass plaque. Function: Originally used in stores as a display, potentially for items like bolo ties. Amazing piece of western Americana.

Vintage General Store Display Cabinet Glass Mercantile Counter Top Show Case

This came out of an estate. It’s a display cabinet with glass front. It’s with original sticker on back that says hmc industries Washington. It’s older and has some showing of age as well. The veneer is peeling in some areas or lifting. It’s broken off as missing in some areas as well. The glass also has some pretty good scuffs and scratches. It’s 22 inches tall and 25 inches wide. The thickest area at bottom is 12 inches. The exact measurements are in photos. See all photos and zoom in. I’m not taking a return on this. It’s old used with some noted areas described and shown. If you want a new one then this is not for you by any means. I’ll double box and package it well and insure it. Make sure you want it.

Fantastic pair of old haberdashery or mercantile display stands. These adjust up and down, one goes up to 36 inches, the other up to 41. We used them to support some signs for an event, the signs in the photo are not included. Good usable condition, there is some tarnish to the chrome. Size measurement is the center post, so add several inches for base and articulated displays. A, B, C 9″ is about 10″ to 17 display depending on tilt. A & C have 6″ base B has 5 ” base. D, E 15″ is about 16″ to 23 display depending on tilt. D has a crack in the top support (see photo). F, G 25″ is about 27½ to 34½” display depending on tilt. From the same collection we may still have listed. Shoes Display Stand Wood Store Window Mercantile 20. Each platform is 8″ x 2¼” and has a small metal screw adjustable U shape plate to hold either regular heel or high heel. Shoe is for demonstration only and not included. Condition is very good vintage with nicks, wear spots and loss of finish from intended use, aka Patina. See each individual photo. Antique Wood Glass Mercantile Store Showcase Display Cabinet Haberdashery VTG

Vintage store display cabinet. Been in garage since about 1950. Likely early 1900s original construction. Bought from a clothing store that went out of business. This was a top end well constructed cabinet to display high end product back in the day. Was used to store odds and ends in the garage. Cabinet was not abused. Full glass sides, glass front and glass top (beveled glass). No cracks or damage to glass. Approximately 99.75″ long x 27.25″ deep x 45.5 tall. 8 drawers wide by 3 drawers high. Inside drawer measurements are 10″ wide x 23″ long x 10 tall. In pictures note that a bottle spilled on top and took off some varnish but did not damage the wood. All handles are in place. Doesn’t appear anything is missing. Heirs did not know that this was a glass cabinet until it was just uncovered. This cabinet was buried in the garage with the glass facing towards a wall and covered over with cardboard, plywood and cabinetry up against it. It appears that this was a shirt display cabinet in a local haberdashery. It looks like cabinet is all oak or at least hardwood of some sort. All drawers are intact and in good shape. Some of the wood drawers stick and are hard to fully close in the summer. This truly is a barn find. How many of these have survived? Item is located in central MA. I can assist with loading.
