Vintage Parker Pen Wood & Glass No. 318 Display Case By Ressinger, Ferrill & Co
This listing is for a hard to find Vintage Parker Pen Wood & Glass No. 318 Retail Store Display Case. It was designed By Paul Ressinger and made by Harve Ferrill & Co in Chicago USA. It has a great 40s-50s (possibly late 30s) early mid century style, quality craftsmanship, and a compact design coupled with a manageable size making for an excellent display piece. It is made out of solid hardwood, with a hinged locking metal back for access to the contents within. Glass panes allow the viewer to gaze upon the collection within. A lightbulb concealed behind the word “Parker” on the upper pane illuminates the entire ensemble. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. It does not have its keys, lock could be picked, drilled, or tested until a match is found (Id bet its a universal key). Electrics are completely untested – wire is a little crackly so I would recommend a full rewire, an easy job once unlocked. Some light areas of separation on one seam- an issue easily fixed with woodglue once unlocked, or could be left as is as its not very serious. Thank you for your consideration, I appreciate your time. Reasonable offers always appreciated. Comes as shown, please see photos for details and measurements.

(March 3, 1898 – June 26, 1972), an Austrian graphic designer. He is recognized as one of the pioneers of the modern poster. Noted for his refined, stylized images and high-impact colors. Some of his best known works include posters for the 1939 New York World’s Fair. And the American Red Cross. Throughout the 1940s and 1950s Binder continued to receive awards in poster competitions for Travel in America, the American Red Cross, and the United Nations. His commercial work also garnered recognition. Posters for Ballantine Beer and SECRETS. Throat Lozenges were among designs that won awards from the Art Director’s Club. He created memorable advertisements and posters for A&P. Binder’s last commercial client was United Airlines. In 1957 he designed a set of eight travel posters for them. The posters depicted destinations served by the airline including Chicago, Colorado, San Francisco and Washington D. The design for the Washington D.
