Vintage Animated Automaton Cobbler Store Display Hand Carved Folk Art 1930s Rare

Vintage Animated Automaton Cobbler Store Display Wooden 1930s Rare 100% Original. Carved wooden cobbler bench store display. This is a great store display piece of American advertising. This piece is 100% original and in perfect working condition with the cobblers. Head and arms leaning forward and moving to simulate him sewing a shoe sole. Riginal to the piece are the little tools and material that are stored on the cobblers storage area on his bench. This automation is made simple but solid and well with strong colors. There is a tiny bit of flaking on the pants, head and slight stain on the shirt but expected for its age. This was found from a 5 & 10 thrift store from the 1930s. With the exception of the somewhat modern power cord, It’s never been touched. It’s a great piece and can appeal to all different types of collectors. I believe the wood is knotty pine and birds eye. 1950s Vintage Animated Store Window Display Santa And Two Complimenting Elves. This is a truly rare find! We have a full sized automated antique store window display Santa that is in fantastic shape and it works just fine! There are also two antique elves to compliment the display scene. All three items are in excellent shape. There is a bit of staining on the very wooden base of the Santa but it is a very easy and quick fix. The outfits on all three are in fantastic condition and have no holes or tears noted. This would have to be picked up at our home and you would be required to have an appointment to see the Santa and elves. Vintage 1950’s Bozo The Clown Animated Store Display Capitol Records Inc.. We had this display working but he does not rise up and down like designed. The motor runs but nothing happens. Even non-functional, this is a great piece of history. He could use a good cleaning. Round base is some type of heavy duty cardboard. Hands are worn and torn (also cardboard but my h thinner like the kind you use for signs) but original and intact. Measures 13 1/2″ tall × 8″ in diameter. Animated Mechanical Vintage Santa Claus and Mrs Claus Store Window Display Arts. I Will also help put on truck if you have somebody picking up for you. When picking up must sign release saying the item was picked up and it is as listed. Both heads are stamped display arts inc.. My father passed away 24 years ago. He displayed them in his front window for Christmas time. I’ve had these in my possession for 24 years I’m sad to see them go but I know they are going to somebody that can enjoy them like how I did. These have been repaired over the years and are not 100% original. Santa Claus’ hat, beard and mustache have been changed. Mrs claus hair and all the white ruffle trimming on her dress as been replaced. Santa Claus has a crack on his forehead and a crack on the side of his neck up to his cheek but is hidden under his beard and hat. Clause nose broke over 27 years ago and was repaired With some sort of glue resin. At some point A long time ago the Red fabric look like it has Been Dyed red Some red transferred on to the white. Not the greatest dye job. Both they eyeglasses are not original. The Christmas sack is original but the Christmas presents. They where replaced in the early 2000. The Christmas presents are in rough condition. The presents are empty Cardboard boxes wrapped up With wrapping paper. They come with wooden boxes made out of particle board To keep them safe. For the past 15 years since we live in Florida I take the heads off for storage. I’m keep the heads under air conditioning In the house. The body’s Stay in the wooden Boxes in my garage not under air Nothing has changed with them within the last 15 years. Every year take them out of the Box and attach the heads and put them in the house greeting people who come in the house for the holidays. They definitely need some love and fixing up. If you need more photos please let me know. I put a YouTube video of them up for better viewing and to show that both motors still work. 5 foot 9 inches tall from floor to hat. Life size Vintage Animated Mechanical Harold Gale Santa Store Display Motion Figure Condition is Used. Jolly and magical his features are very joyful. Santa is automated and when plugged in he gently moves from side to side and waves his hand. Automation works without issue. Needs some cleaning to the white parts of his outfit as seen in photos.
