This very rare Styrofoam Hamm’s beer bear is a store display that was never displayed in a store – just in a private home. It is 60″ tall and 30″ at its widest point. There are a few minor dings and it is dusty but otherwise it is in great shape for its age. I try to accurately describe my auctions but if you need any additional information just ask. Vintage Budweiser Beer Sign 1930s Painted Tin Litho Antique Store Display Rare

A very rare c. 1935, Budweiser display, in great shape for its age and intended use. Reads: Take Home Budweiser Beer Makes Good Food Taste Better, and features a bottle of Budweiser, poured in a Pilsner style glass, on a silver platter. Image of Budweiser bottle and glass seems to be a smaller, tin litho sign, affixed to larger display, where letters/words appear painted/stenciled (see photo 12). Measures about 37″ x 17″ x 4 weighs nearly 5 lbs without packaging. Seems to have been a store display/advertisement, to display Budweiser bottles, as it encourages folks to Take Home Budweiser Beer. The power of suggestion! For age and intended use, colors are sharp, vibrant, maintains all its character, and displays quite well! Stenciled on back, but faded NO 18. I had a fellow eBayer write, saying they have this sign, voiced belief it’s rare and worth more than I’m asking! I’m no expert, but I believe the sign dates to the mid-1930s, since Take Home Budweiser Beer Makes Good Food Taste Better, was a slogan used from just after the end of prohibition (1935), into WWII (1943). My sense is this was created before the war, as metal was used for the war effort. I also believe the reason it’s hard to find other records of this sign, is they were likely scrapped for the war effort. For conditions, review photos closely using magnifying tool or zoom in. Sign likely dates to mid-1930s, and in used, but good condition. Wear consistent with age, intended use, small indentations, dings, scratches, tiny rust spots. Colors bright, vibrant, letters/words appear painted/stenciled (see photo 12) and sign retains an affixed tin lithograph (on the right) featuring Budweiser on a silver platter. Up for your consideration is a rare vintage Ebling Beer store display sign. The sign has a cute snowman displaying the beer. The display sign is made of a thick paper and is wrapped in plastic to a thick piece of white plastic carboard. It is well protected this way. It has nice color. It would make a great addition to your sign collection. The Ebling Brewing Company began in 1868 by German Immigrants. The beer was aged in caves around Melrose New York. The company was sanctioned during prohibitiion and eventually closed it’s doors in the 1940s. Up for sale is a rare piece of beer advertising, stands about 6.5′ (81) stamped miller brewing company. The shelf is spring loaded and working. It was meant to keep the beer at arms level I assume. Double sided miller sign on top. Base is 16.5×16.5 original condition, original paint in fair condition, some damage on the tray where some grease had sat for many years, this is barn fresh, all I did was wipe it down and remove the pile of grease from the tray. Spring loaded shelf works but it’s noisy, maybe some oil or grease would quiet it down. Some light rust spots. Normal wear and tear. Chipping paint on base. 12590 in New York. For the vintage beer or clown collector that has everything… Up for sale is a worn, soiled, tattered clown felt with patches that are in excellent condition. It stands just a little over 3 feet and is approx 28 inches wide from hand to hand with wooden round base that is approx 17 inches in diameter. I used this clown at the door of my home for several Halloween’s where the clown would spook the little kids with the look on it’s face. Not sure where it was placed liquor store? But regardless I think you will agree it is one cool piece! Collecting and Hobbies are great when kept in context and inventory managed. I learned the hard way that when you find new more highly desired items, you need to turn/let go of one of your other prized possessions as one cannot keep/have everything. I thank my kids for forgiving me and remind them that collecting and hobbies are great – just do it in a controlled manner and don’t let pride get in the way and let things get out of control with mass and keep turning it and sell off a few things when you find something you like more… If anyone learns from my mistakes to where this message helps avoid going down the wrong road I did, it will have all been worth it. To my visitors/purchasers, thank you for your patience in reading as not my intention to seek sympathy but just speak openly and honestly from the heart. I thank you kindly in advance for purchasing my stuff which I hope will put a very little dent in my debt and bring a smile to you and many who enjoy vintage Americana at it’s best. Made in USA is an art form with quality that is second to none. God bless you and God bless America! The clown stands just a little over 3 feet tall. It is approx 28 – 30 inches wide from outside edge of left hand to outside edge of right hand. The round wooden black base is 17 inches in diameter. The thickness of the clown is approx 5 – 6 inches as the felt just covers flat wooden clown body frame covered tightly by felt could see pine wood by slightly sliding up bottom of bell bottom clown pants. The right arm which has a hole in the palm of the hand as if a can or bottle was affixed to it is actually pine wood. The left arm is thick wire which I suppose was used since nothing was affixed to it.
