Please see full description for details. GIANT Vintage Gillette Old Type DE Safety Razor Brass Advertising Store Display. One of the Holy Grail pieces of Gillette collecting. Uge Gillette factory made old type safety razor adverting store display. Measures 16 1/2 tall and weighs 11 lbs 4 ozs. Solid cast and machined brass construction. Etched enamel filled Gillette diamond logo on head. Head measures 7 11/16″ long x 4 11/16″ wide tooth to tooth. Head unscrews from handle but this piece does not come apart like a real razor. Appears to be plated or varnished to give it a bright gold appearance. A nearly identical example is shown on page 140 of the Krumholz Gillette book. Fresh out a high. End antique advertising collection. Some minor plating / varnish wear throughout being most noticeable on the edges of the outer comb teeth. No significant dings, dents, or deep scratches.
