Extremely Rare Vintage Mannequin Miniquin Doll Counter Store Display

This item is old, probably 1920’s, but could be 1930’s or 1940’s. It stands about 30″ – 31″ tall when on it’s wooden base. The arms are detachable (I added some blue masking tape around the pegs to make the fit a bit tighter since the wood has shrunken some over the past century). The hair is reddish in color and is really cool and in great shape, especially considering its age. The hair looks like woven string. The finish on the doll shows age and has some cracking. See pictures for the best representation of this item’s condition. This is a great display or conversation piece and would make a nice addition to any collection or as decor for a shop. Rare Antique 32 German Clockwork Nodder Santa Bisque Doll Store Display

Rare Museum quality large 32 Antique German bisque head Santa or Saint Nicholas Clockwork Nodder Store Display. He has wonderful blue spiral paperweight eyes. He is holding his original goose feather tree and pannier basket is strung on his rope belt and full of early German toys. The basket is in very nice condition, no damage, has a red flannel bag inside to hold toys. Santa’s bisque head has no damage, no chips, cracks, or hairlines, his nose has a slight rub. Santa is in beautiful condition, his long cream mohair coat has no holes, no stains, no smell. The key wind makes Santa’s head nod, hidden under his right arm. He appears all original with his goat skin beard, goose feather tree, rope belt with pannier basket of antique German toys that date him to 1880. Inside his neck carton is marked 76′ not sure if referring to a date? His toys are wonderfully made and very early pair of all bisque articulated Kling Dolls dressed as twins, rare Putz wooden Army of soldiers articulated on flexible base, Fur Horse w/glass eyes marked Germany, pr wooden skis and ski poles, Putz moving see saw toy with figures, articulated tin lithograph clown hanging upside down, Putz wood soldier, 2-wood decks of cards with King & Queen lithograph (match boxes), and a pair of painted lead submarines. The only wear I found on the Santa is the top of his hood shows wear from touching nodding his head and light rub to nose. He has a carton body with paper mache feet in nice condition. His head is removable and weighted and sits on top with hook to hold in place. The 15″ & 13″ dolls are not included, they show the large size of Santa or Saint Nicholas! His bisque head is what makes him rare with his character face, molded painted teeth, and expressive French blue glass paperweight eyes and furrowed brows and wrinkles! This Santa is prized by collectors of both Christmas and Dolls! The bisque Santa head is unmarked but was likely made by Cuno Otto Dressel Co, a similar character face appears as Uncle Sam and Santa with wrinkled character face and slim pointed noses as this Santa has. This Clockwork Nodder Santa was featured on the cover of “The Golden Glow Of Christmas Past”. The Clockwork Santa on the front cover is shown in red on the printed page I included. This Santa has the same bisque face with teeth and white eye bows, goat skin beard, blue glass eyes, and the same color cream mohair long coat with pale blue lined sleeves and hood. The base looks almost identical, just a couple inches shorter at 30 listed size. The goose feather tree is similar but not in the best condition, has less branches and no candle holders. This Santa has the same rope belt with tassels, but has no pannier basket for toys, the key looks slightly different. I have taken many photos of this wonderful Santa and his condition and all his parts. The large bisque head is what makes this German Santa so unusual and the quality and condition is probably the Best! This is a Very Nice Vintage Table Top Display Cabinet Case. Constructed of a Solid wood Walnut frame. Detailed 1/4 round “shoe” molding on top. There is one Shelf and two sliding glass doors that move readily in two track metal guides top and bottom. All glass appears to be original but not sure on interior shelf and doors. Bottom board is a pressed wood partially painted. Very good antique condition being structurally sound with age appropriate signs of normal use as pictured. Detail cleaned and the wood conditioned. There are some scratches on the top glass from use. Interior Shelf has two small chipped corners. Estimate age Early 20th Century. Items in case are not included but for display only. GIANT vintage antique KEWPIE doll store display mannequin with j'td. Arms, wings

Just a fantastic find for any doll collection… Measuring about 26 tall. (see 8th photo with ruler) this darling, early plastic KEWPIE doll has huge side-glancing painted eyes , small pug nose, closed smiling mouth, blushed cheeks and strung arms with perfect “starfish” shaped, chubby hands and straight legs molded together with flat feet covered by his original blue, silk-type slippers. He has adorable molded and detailed wings at his shoulders and is signed on his back. Within a raised triangle & rising sun motif, Made in Japan in raised letters, possibly for Kokusai, Tokyo. Kewpie has molded tufts of hair over each ear, at the back and topknot with good detail. He was wearing an over-size, child’s, vintage gown and bonnet when found and has been lovingly redressed in this absolutely adorable, infant size, rose flowered onesie (with the snap closure tucked underneath). His arms will need to be restrung as the original stringing elastic has disintegrated. He has no cracks or breaks although there are several areas of original or very old re-glue on a few seams. Although his silk slippers have never been removed there may be a small chip on one foot, original to his manufacture. He has been well cared for and absolutely amazing to think that he has survived for all these years. Vintage 1960s Penny Brite Store Display Carousel with Seven Dolls for Topper Toys by Deluxe Reading Corp. A rare, hard to find display set. The carousel is 18 in diameter and 14 tall. It has seven 8 dolls dressed as the original Penny Brite in red dress, in Anchors Aweigh sailor outfit, in Sun and Fun outfit, in Winter Princess outfit, in Flower Girl outfit, in Singing in the Rain outfit but umbrella is missing, and in Chit Chat outfit. Each Doll is in its own individual compartment with different backgrounds. The dolls and clothing are in fairly good condition, but need to be cleaned. The carousel itself is in fair condition. The top is not complete (see photo) and it is missing the plastic that once wrapped around the doll compartments. It has dings and wear. It does rotate when set on a level surface and plugged in. Measures about 13 tall. Includes 7 fully dressed 8 dolls posed in their own individual compartments with different background scenes. Original Penny Brite in casual dress. Anchors Aweigh sailor outfit. Singing in the Rain. De Luxe Reading Corp. When placed on a level surface and plugged in, the carousel rotates around. Top cardboard carousel cover is missing. The plastic windows show some bending and a couple of the windows are buckling out or separating. Various dings and age / use wear on carousel and may benefit from some cleaning. VINTAGE 1930's CAMEO HAPPY THE HOTPOINT MAN GE ADVERTISING, WOOD JOINTED DOLL

GE ADVERTISING STORE DISPLAY. Happy HotPoint was often placed in appliance store window displays in. The 1930s and through the 1950s beside a featured HotPoint Appliance. He would usually hold a card announcing a special offer. Or price point in his slotted hand. Designed by famous artist Maxfield Parrish for Cameo Products. Other Cameo advertising figures. Include “Bandy” Bandmaster and RCA RadioTron Dolls. Happy HotPoint is a hand painted doll with a composition head and body. He has jointed r e-positionable wooden appendages and can stand on his own.. Although I would support him with a doll holder for longer periods of time. And for his safety = He is over 7 0 years old and his joints are a little weak. His Original Paint is still bright but has some crackling, discoloration and wear. He is 15 tall. Was a pixie mascot for Hotpoint appliances during TV commercial segments on the ABC sitcom. The role of the pixie was played by then 17-year-old Mary Tyler Moore (just out of high school). Who was making her acting debut as Happy Hotpoint. For the part, she wore a head-to-toe. Gray leotard costume fitted with a heavy corset. A small curl of blond hair peaked out of her headpiece at the forehead.
