Vintage Store Display

Here we have a rare vintage Santa store display. What I was told was her grandparents owned a general store and then her parents took it over. From the first Christmas her grandparents opened the store in the 1940’s they had him displayed with a sign sticking out of his hand and had other signs to change out. She does not know what happened to the signs. Here parents continued displaying hime every Christmas until they closed the store. She thinks it closed in the 1970’s but was not too sure. Then her parents use to display him in their house every year and when they passed she inherited it. Now I can not confirm her story but figured I would pass it along. If anyone recognizes one of these and can share some other information it would be appreciated. He does look old just don’t know exactly how old. Now he seems to be made of a plaster and is hollow inside. From age he does have cracks as seen some wider than others. The top of the hat has been repaired but not very good and repainted red as seen. The cracks are on the right side by hand and side as seen. There are some spots paint is just missing and some where there are niks/chips. The base has chips around it also and was touched up with black paint. Now at one of the chips you can see a mesh material was used before applying plaster or whatever the material is. Measures 39″ tall x 14″ wide x 13 front to back. These measurements are to furthest points. I put weight and measurements and it automatically calculates to your location. Again can send more pictures on request.
