Vintage Santa Sleigh Flying Reindeer & Town Village Chalkware Store Display. An awesome Christmas time display. Featuring all chalkware/plaster pieces on a wood board. Santa Claus in his sleigh filled with toys. A stiff wire “harness” that once held reindeer is poked into Santa’s sleigh and is removable. Unfortunately, there are no deer. They are taking off for a night of deliveries in the chalkware town/village at the other end of the board. The pieces are all brightly painted and covered with a sprinkle of glittery “snow”. 2 small, chalkware, flocked Christmas pine trees are by the sleigh. A plastic pine bough and a bunch of preserved greenery are also by the sled. The village consists of houses and a church. The wood board is also covered with glittery “snow” and the entire board is edged with a reddish crepe paper garland with white paint “flocking”. See photos for dimensions. The entire piece is in vintage condition… The glittery “snow” on the board has aged and crumbles of the paper garland is mixed in. There are some blobs of glue too. There are spots that are cleaner and may have at one time had other pieces displayed. As far as the chalk figurines… Santa has his nose scuffed off and is missing his right hand. The village is on a drift of snow which has cracked in a few places. Please view the photos carefully as they will convey the condition better than my description. Display as is or with a little TLC you could freshen it up. As far the the missing reindeer… I would find some hard plastic reindeer!
