Awesome Mido self winding watch advertising robot. NOT a old 1930’s vintage item. Large & heavy 17 inch high x 7 inch wide. Weighs 3 1/2 lbs without any packing. Made of solid resin on thick steel stand with working 3 1/4 inch clock. Back easily opens to install 1 battery (not included). The head rotates and the two arms move forward and backward. All other parts of robot are in fixed position. Mido comes from the Spanish phrase: Yo mido meaning “I measure” Mido in the 1930’s used a robot as its ambassador as a symbol of progress. There is minor loss of silver surface color at the pivot pegs for upper arm joints, otherwise this robot is in near mint condition with working clock. No pet smells or cigarette smells.
