This is an official, internal Apple Store retail counter display block from the Autumn 2006 rollout of the iconic iPod nano (2nd Generation). Unlike standard consumer electronics, these units were manufactured strictly for back-of-house store fixtures and authorized dealer tables. They were never made available to the general public. ? KEY FEATURES & COLLECTOR DETAILS. The Full 5-Color Spectrum. Includes the complete chronological launch lineup: Silver, Green, Blue, Pink, and Black. Official “For Display Only” Mockups. The back of each aluminum enclosure features the authentic factory-stamped corporate text. They feature no internal flash memory or lithium-ion batteries-meaning there is ZERO risk of battery swelling, leakage, or internal LCD damage over time. Each unit features the high-resolution, static screen replica pre-printed with the iconic launch track: “Dani California” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from the Stadium Arcadium album. The original underneath metal anti-theft security cable remains cleanly attached to the block, rather than being crudely clipped or damaged. This set is in immaculate, premium collector condition. The heavy clear acrylic base block is beautifully transparent, showing none of the typical heavy yellowing, deep gouges, or spiderweb crazing common with pieces left under harsh retail display lamps. The anodized aluminum shells retain their crisp, vibrant original factory colors with sharp edges. Please review the high-resolution photos provided to verify the museum-quality condition of this rare piece of Apple retail heritage.
