Up for sale today we are happy to offer this. RARE Vintage ARVIN Radio & Television Lighted Store Display Sign. This is a fresh pick barn find, new to the marketplace! A nice functioning “two sided” sign that m. Easures about 24″ x 11″. Late 50’s / early 60’s. 1 side is near perfect – the other side is cracked, buts still looks fair (see photos) – Some minor deflection of the metal frame. Sign is in full WORKING condition, including chain pull switch – Sorry, no hanging chain or bracket – Light only. Please see all photos, and feel free to ask any questions! IF RCA’S “NIPPER” IS THE CUTE LITTLE COUNTRY DOG, THIS IS HIS BAD-BOY, UNHINGED COUSIN FROM THE CITY! THE DOG IS WEARING A SET OF FROST RADIO FONES WHILE SMOKING A CIGARETTECIGAR? ONE EYE HAS A BULB IN IT WHICH OBVIOUSLY LIT UP AT ONE POINT… I HAVE HAD THIS GUY FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HATE TO PART WITH HIM BUT I THINK IT’S TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ENJOY HIS COMPANY : OVER THE YEARS I HAVE TRIED TO FIND ANOTHER DOG LIKE THIS OR ANY ADVERTISING USING HIM AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS PRETTY UNCOMMON. AS TO CONDITION, OVERALL THE BODY IS IN GOOD, SOLID SHAPE. THE PAINTED SURFACE HAS CHIPPED OFF IN SOME PLACES AND HIS CIGARETTE IS ROUGH; I TOOK PICTURES FROM EVERY ANGLE SO THAT YOU CAN ASSESS THIS FOR YOURSELF. THERE IS WIRE CORD THAT RUNS THROUGH THE HEADPHONES WHICH I ASSUME USED TO ATTACH TO THE EYE LIGHT BULB BUT THIS CORD WAS CUT LONG AGO. NO, HE’S NOT PERFECT BUT HE’S STILL REALLY COOL! THE DOG IS 8″ TALL AND 10″ LONG. I ALSO HAVE A VINTAGE CERAMIC NIPPER DOG LISTED IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. Vintage Lighted Sylvania Radio Tubes Store Display Advertising Sign

We have owned the sign since the early 70’s. When the sign is NOT lit, it reads “Sylvania Radio Tubes”. When lit, a large “S” appears at the top and the slogan “They never Disappoint” appears at the bottom. The glass panel easily slides out to replace the bulb. The wooden frame has gold accents all around the front. It has a small amount of rust on the metal back. There is a crack about 1 1/2″ long on the “l in Sylvania which is hard to notice. The cord has been replaced for safely reasons with a new vintage style plug and a cloth covered cord like the original. The front of the sign measures 9 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ and is 5 deep. This sign would be a great addition to your collection! The “Sylvania” letters actually appear to be all the same orange-ish color when the sign is lit, but somehow it cant be captured in a photo that way. Tried and tried again to get a better photo – but the camera just wouldn’t see it my way!
