ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a RARE vintage RED GOOSE SHOES display stand that dispenses golden eggs with small toy prizes inside. The goose appears to be made of a hardened cardboard like material, while the rectangular base seems like a normal weight cardboard. She comes with three (3) of the original plastic golden eggs, and the original small toy prizes are still inside them. With the goose nesting atop the cardboard base, this piece measures approx. The goose is approx. 26″ long (from tip of bill to tip of tail) x 10″ wide x 17 tall. The cardboard stand measures approx. 14.5″ tall x 14.5″ long x 8 wide. CONDITION : For its age, we’d say it is in decent condition, but it does have some cosmetic mentions which we’ll touch upon here. First off, the very bottom of the cardboard base is tattered around the edges, and also around the opening where the eggs are dispensed. We not sure if this can be restored or not – our guess is it probably can. There is also a small spot of wear / color loss on the tip of the tail feathers (see photos). The sign around the goose’s neck has a piece missing from it, but it appears all of the actual wording is there. The eggs are free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. While the wiring looks decent, we did plug this in for a minute or two, but it didn’t seem to do anything. We’re uncertain if the wires have come undone at one point in its long history, so they’ll have to be checked. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
