The wheel or carousel and jars have cosmetic wear from use and dust, shelf life. Some of the items in jars are Grommets no. Circa 1940s possibly late 30’s G. Tube Radio Ferris Wheel Store Display Sign. It is electric and when turned on rotates five radios on the ferris wheel. It is made of wood and metal and in quite nice WORKING condition. This would have been on a store counter or in the display window to show off the different tube radio’s and clocks available. Very nice pastel colors including a great jadeite green, a nice robins egg blue color, a very vibrant rose pink along with a light pink and light blue, a great way to show off some of your radio collection. Some age wear as shown oxidation etc and a repair is noted to the light pink metal shelf it looks like the weld broke at some point and it was repaired with a small screw/nut not bothersome, mechanically seems to be sound and working fine may need a little oiling but I will leave that to the new owner to decide. It measures 22″ wide about 25″ tall and about 25 at deepest part including the rotating shelves. Please see pics for the best eye on description. Thanks for taking the time to visit our listings. This is a very rare Raytheon store display for radio tubes. It is a revolving display with hard that would have tubes in it. The jars are dirty and have surface rust. The unit itself has some surface rust and has a replaced but. Some jars are cracked and not all are present. Overall it has good graphics and is a unique piece. It was found in a garage in upstate NY, where it was used to hold screws. It could use some oil on the joints and a good cleaning. Please look at pictures closely. This is an advertising counter store display figural Champagne / wine bottle radio. The radio is called Champagne Music, and was made by the Hazeltine Corporation. The radio is a superheterodyne receiver, model C-500. The label on the bottle is advertising The Christian Brothers Sauterne. This radio is very large, it measures about 2 feet tall and the base is about 8 inches in diameter. The base looks to be a brown bakelite, I think the bottle may be bakelite as well. The cord on the radio is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. I plugged the radio in, it powered up, and it hummed, nothing else. Im not a radio guy and have no Idea what needs to be repaired or replaced to have it fully function. The radio is in decent used shape but does show wear. The labels show staining, yellowing, fading, rubs, nicks, scratches, etc. The bottle and base show scratches, rubbing, finish wear, small nicks, etc. The back side of the upper label shows quite a bit of loss. Im sure with a good cleaning and polishing the colors would pop again. The bottle cap is in the same condition, no major damage to note. The bottom of the base has the information labels for the radio. I believe this to be a tube radio, but Ive not taken anything apart to see. I believe it is complete, but again I do not know for sure. See my other auctions for more cool stuff. Any questions please ask.
