Vintage Store Display

This is a rare vintage 1999 Pokemon/Magic the Gathering Retail Counter Display. This is an extremely rare item if you are a collector of Pokemon cards. The company I worked for was hired by Wizards of the Coast to build these for their stores. They were the U. The owner of Wizards was also the originator of Dungeons and Dragons. They hired us to build out their stores, each of which had a number of these counter displays along with all the other stuff we made for them. After Hasbro bought Wizards, they ceased brick and mortar retailing and they stopped production. This unit was the final approved proto for the rollout of the displays for the stores. You can still see a couple sharpie notations underneath from the customer. The sign holder attaches to the shelf edge. The original silicone feet/buttons are even still intact. These have been in my storage since 1999. These pieces are in decent but not perfect condition. There are some rust spots on the powdercoated metal and a few scuffs and paint loss on the wood, but not too bad. The condition is relative to how perfect you want it for displaying cards, packs and boxes, so please study photos carefully. Of course you can paint or touch them up as desired yourself too.
