Large Vintage Store Display for H and W Girdles, Circa 1930, Art Deco

Offered for sale is a vintage display piece for H. The figure is 33 inches tall, made of paper mache, covered in peach colored satin. It is wearing a miniature girdle with garters and a gauze ruffle at the bottom. Satin ribbon was used to outline the shape of a brassier. It is printed with H & W and the a phrase “They Fit” on the front. There is an Art Deco pattern printed around the base. It is stamped on the bottom with the company that manufactured the piece. The actual girdle is in excellent condition. The satin covering shows wear area where it has rubbed during storage. There is damage to the back right shoulder. The tips of both breasts have been rubbed through to the backing. The base shows some damage to the satin on the edge.

Vintage Nike JUST DO IT Advertising Retail Display Sign. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES : Backlit Florescent Display, 2 molded loops mounted on top of box for hanging from ceiling in retail setting. CONDITION : Great Condition, no major scratches or paint loss. A few light bumps and minor wear consistent with age but overall great condition and nothing that takes away from its use in the intended retail environment. Especially great given the likelihood it is nearly 30 years old! DIMENSIONS : H 5.625 in. X L 26.25 D 5.75 in. NOTES : The displayed JUST DO IT logo version started in 1988. There is no direct markings is dating the sign. The backlit light components are vintage. I have had this in my possession prior to this recent 2018 re release of the same logo design celebrating the 30. Anniversary of JUST DO IT. Because of the anniversary. I found it to be an appropriate time to part with this piece of Nike History. I know this will be a valued and unique piece given its history and rarity. ABOUT JUST DO IT: In 1988, one of the worlds most recognizable slogans was coined. It was an ode to fitness and courage that has since inspired athletes across the globe to run faster, jump higher, and push past their potential, no matter the obstacles in their path. CAME FROM AN OLD SPORTING GOODS STORE WHICH CLOSED IN 1975 AND HAS BEEN STORED IN A SPOKE FREE PET FREE ENVIRONMENT EVER SINCE. THIS DISPLAY PANEL WAS DESIGNED TO HOLD 12 KNIVES, 7 LONG KNIVES AND 5 FOLDING POCKET KNIVES. THERE ARE 7 OF THE ORIGINAL BUTTONS AND THEY HAVE PRICE INCREASE STICKERS OVER MOST OF THEM. Antique Fold Up Country Store Seed Display Cabinet with. 33 Seed Jars Circa 1930. An antique green and cream fold up metal Country Store Seed Display Cabinet with 33 Seed Jars that date back to the 1930 era. It originally came out of the old Garrettsville Ohio Hardware Store. The steel cabinet is in the original old green paint. It folds in half into a square box. There are three shelves on the top half. There are 16 bin compartments in the bottom half. There are 33 original seed dispensing jars. They all have the screw on lids with the special design fold up or down pour spouts. The seed jars are the old canning jars with the old seed packets glued on to the side of the jars. On the sides are the clip on display selves. A cream colored peg board is mounted on the backside. A very unusual country mercantile store display piece from the old hardware store in Garrettsville Ohio. These are so very hard to find in todays markets. 22 inches deep at the base by 42.50 inches wide by 65 inches tall opened up. Also two 17 inches wide by 8 inches deep clip on side shelves. 76 inches wide when all assembled. Guesstimate weight is about 125 pounds.
