On September 11, 1992, the strongest and most destructive hurricane to hit the Hawaiian Islands made landfall on the island of Kauai. Classic blockbuster Jurassic Park’s production had the unfortunate coincidence of being in Iniki’s path. The storm destroyed all the sets and halted production… With final filming having to be completed later in Los Angeles. Reminiscing about when the hurricane was approaching the island, star Sam Neill said, I remember standing on a beach with Laura [Dern] and she said,’do you think we are going to be all right Sam? And I said,’you know, I think we might die, Laura. This 29yr old 1992 XL JURASSIC PARK FILM CREW SHIRT commemorates this historic weather event. It was in a storage container for many years… However because it is white cotton it may have some minor discoloration on it… From resting against other clothing. But it does not have any holes or tears… Or those annoying yellowing collar sweat stains… Or any pilling of fabric… Or logo cracking due to previous use or from being washed many times. In my opinion it is not a good idea to wash something this old and take a chance of damaging or fading it. I would never wear it… However this is a full size Hanes XL Beefy-T so of course you can if you wanted to. I cannot claim that anything this old does not have imperfections… But it is unworn… With the logo colors still vibrant… And still in great collectible condition. It is without a doubt one of the oldest fully “dated” collectibles from this franchise ever listed on this site PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS AND ASK YOUR QUESTIONS… This rare shirt has gorgeous artwork of a Spielberg Velociraptor holding on for dear life on the front and Spielberg’s name on the movie clapboard Drawn by famed storyboard artist David Lowery… Long time illustrator for the film’s Art Dept. Who also worked on the recent Fallen Kingdom and many other famous films and an exact copy of the hurricane fax warning sheet on the back. I dare say it is like finding the most extinct dinosaur. The chance of you ever finding another specimen like this in the lost world? I don’t even think Dr. Ian Malcolm could calculate those odds. This collectible will only increase in value since there are very few shirts from this weather event that even still exist!!! JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION producers have also announced the return of fan favorites Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill in the next installment so the new film will be both nostalgic and epic!!!
