Antique Punch Cigar Store Statue. Presented for your consideration is this rare cigar store statue. The statue is made entirely of carved, lightweight wood and is of a smoking punch. Punch wears a yellow, green and white costume with a black and yellow belt around his waist. His outfit is completed with red shoes and a red pointed hat. The gnome has a wrinkled face and is grinning while he smokes a cigar and scratches his head with one finger. The other hand is at his side. He stands on a oddly shaped, black painted platform. Nice, intricate detailing is present throughout the statue. This very hard to find cigar store statue would make a great addition to any folk art or mercantile memorabilia collection! Some paint wear and chipping is present on the statue from age and use over the years. As far as I can see there are no splits in the wood except for two on the base. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
