A wonderful surviving example of an early American commercial store fixture, this large showcase features the classic slanted glass front, glass side panels, substantial oak framework, and an interior wooden display shelf. Pieces like this were originally used in general stores, mercantiles, pharmacies, jewelers, and other retail establishments to display merchandise while keeping it protected.
